At school

If we are here today, in Denmark, it's firstly for our studies.
So during three month we will study at UCN Technology and Business on Sofiendalsvej campus. This is a 20/25 minutes walk from our residence. To reduce this time and because it’s a usual transport way, we decided to find a bike. After many research, we found old bikes abandoned at the residence and we repaired it with the lovely help of the UC House’s intendant. But as we are not really used to do some sports and that there are some climbs on the way, beginnings are a bit hard. =)

With the danish spirit we try to do bicycle whatever the weather

Friday, morning the first we had a presentation on the school with all new students. And after a speech of the director in danish, we had a little concert by two students on the school. It was surprising but very cool. And after it was the presentation of our program. We are mixed with other foreigners and we have some group assignment to do so it’s a good way to speak English. The atmosphere between teachers and students is very relaxed. And the lessons are interesting, and sometimes surprising.  For example in our innovation course we had to build a city with Lego, that was actually very funny !

And we also noticed that the students are very involved in their school and take care of their confort.

For example for Valentine's day they decorated all the campus with balloons, cards... 

It was nice !

On the whole all are made to be comfortable for the student : the schedule without lessons after 3.30p.m., the classroom are furnish with all the new technology, there are also many little workrooms with TV-screen on them...

Moreover we had also learned that Danish student are paid by the government to study. Amazing ! Isn't it ?

The First Week !

After having driven 1350km from Paris, we finally arrived in Aalborg safe and happy. We went straight to our residence, the UC House, and we get our room even if our roommates weren't aware that we were coming... not great ! 

Happy to be finally in Aalborg we didn't take the time to empty our suitcases and we met in the living room of the house with the others French. The music has called others students of the UC House and made us meet our first foreigners friends :) 

So happy !

The next day after a long night sleeping, we all met for our first adventure in Aalborg city... we took the bus to go to the introduction day in the city center. All the foreign students were here. They gave us a great little bag with a pen, a notepad, a keychain and a sim card which is after all very useful ! We have had a presentation of the city and the school, unfortunality we were all a bit tired... but the very good dinner they offered us after wake us up and we had to be sitting next to a person we didn't know... good way to begin the immersion. 

Our new life in Aalborg had started ! ;)
